Many of our students have concerns that other children also have. A student can benefit from the opportunity to discuss his/her feelings about these concerns by participating in the school guidance and counseling program. In addition to classroom guidance lessons the following types of programs are available on the La Vega Primary School campus:

• Guidance groups to address issues such as grief, anger, and divorce; and
• Individual guidance and counseling based upon a student’s individual needs.

The school counseling program is designed to support students, parents, and teachers. If you believe your child would benefit from participation in guidance groups or individual guidance and counseling, please contact Joe L. Avery, the La Vega Primary School counselor.

If you have questions or concerns regarding the school guidance and counseling program, please contact Joe L. Avery or the principal, Mrs. Lisa Seawright.
